After completing my HBA in English, Political Science and Phillosophy at the university of Toronto, I experienced adrenal fatigue. At this point, I increased my research in nutrition and holistic health and found within it my lifelong passion. That’s when I made the decision to pursue my career as a certified holistic nutritionist (CNP) at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition where I graduated at top of the class with an alumni status. During my co-op experienced I worked at a Medical clinic with the lead MD and Naturopath. After graduating I completed an accredited online certification for Culinary Child Nutrition from Stanford University.  I have a passion for hormone health, pre/postnatal health care and helping families make healthy and informative food choices. I am dedicated to helping others take control of their lives by implementing nutritional wellness, and holistic lifestyle strategies.

If there is one meal of the day that I truly value; it is breakfast. A nutritious breakfast can have a tremendous impact on how your day unravels in terms of mental performance, physical and emotional energy.  I also value a breakfast that supports body metabolism throughout the day and keeps me satiated for a longer duration of time. Cashews are an excellent source of essential healthy fats, proteins, complex carbohydrates, fibre and phytonutrients (plant chemicals), that serve as antioxidants. This is a great option for maintaining an optimum daily nutritional profile.

Yoso Sweet and Savory Whole Grain Toasts

10 minute prep time

Savory Toast

Ingredients

1 whole grain toast
2 tbs Yoso Dairy Free Cream Cheese Spread
1 large slice of pickled banana pepper
3 cucumber slices
1 tsp of red cabbage
Half a handful of mixed field greens or spinach and arugula leaves
1 sliced cherry tomato
a pinch of seaweed salt or salt and pepper to taste.
optional topping  (fresh mint or basil)

Directions

Lightly toasts the whole grain bread until it reaches a golden/brown color.
Add all the other ingredients on top.
Serve and enjoy!

Sweet Toast

Ingredients

1 whole grain toast
2 tbs Yoso Dairy Free Cream Cheese Spread
Two fresh Clementine slices
1 tbs fresh blueberries
1/4 tsp hemp hearts or ground flaxseed
Raw honey, lightly drizzled (optional)
Fresh mint (optional)

Directions

Lightly toasts the whole grain bread until it reaches a golden/brown color.
Add all the other ingredients on top.
Serve and enjoy!
