Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. – Oscar Wilde

A treat for the eyes as much as your taste buds, dragonfruit is a vibrant tropical superfruit that comes to us from the cactus family. The cactus blooms a precious, short-lived flower that is pollinated by moths and bats in the night, otherwise the flower withers and dies when the sun comes up. It is indigenous to Central America, but grows in Southeast Asia as well. Peel back the pink skin and enjoy the white flesh that has a subtle sweetness similar to kiwis. It is full of phytonutrients, vitamin C, magnesium, iron, and good fats.
