I’m a Holistic Nutritionist located in Toronto. I specialize in weight loss for men, women, and children of all ages. I use a unique approach, with an emphasis on hormonal balance to personally address your needs. I always look at the root cause to get you on your path to a healthy lifestyle.

I do what I do because I’m so passionate about it – changing my diet has changed my life, and it can do the same for you. I also love food (both eating and cooking!).

I’m so excited to be part of the Yoso community! Not only does Yoso make some super delicious products but they’re conscious in supporting community and our planet. I back everything about this brand!

We asked a few questions about her dairy-free lifestyle as part of this series, Living Dairy Free:

 Why are you dairy-free?

I’m about 95% dairy free and believe in eating mainly dairy free for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s hard to source Organic grass fed dairy and conventional dairy can be from cows fed antibiotics and is far from a health food. The second reason I don’t eat much dairy is for ethical reasons. Most dairy farms don’t treat their cows well at all, and as an animal lover this is not something I will ever support! I believe that unless you’re on a specific diet (or have particular restrictions) everything in moderation can be part of a healthy lifestyle!

Top five favourite dairy-free products? (No pressure to name Yoso, but if you do, that’s great!)

  1. Yoso unsweetened coconut yogurt – I’m not just saying that, I really can’t get enough!
  2. Homemade nut milks
  3. Coconut Bliss and Pleasantville Vegan Ice cream
  4. Vegan protein powders (Genuine Health and Sunwarrior are my favourites)
  5. Extra dark chocolate – the darker the better! I love Choco Sol, their plain chocolate and raw cacao beans are some of my favorite treats!

Favourite local spot to eat that accommodates dairy-free?

Kupfert and Kim – their bowls are filling, well-rounded, and amazing!

Favourite place to shop for groceries?

Markets, especially in the summer! I love Brickworks, it’s close to where I live so I can easily walk there. There’s nothing like shopping outside and meeting the people that grow your food. When markets aren’t an option Big Carrot is always a great shopping experience.
